Basic Life Support Training

The ability to properly respond in emergencies should be ingrained in the heart of every healthcare professional (HCP). To carry out this duty, one must know the fundamentals of Basic Life Support (BLS), the paramount medical assistance needed should an emergency medical situation arise.

BLS procedure is applied to people who have experienced respiratory failure or cardiac arrest. While BLS does not equate to giving treatment to someone, this helps buy time until proper medication is given to the patient.

A BLS certification is a key step in acquiring vital healthcare techniques and skill-sets

The NY Healthcare School’s BLS Training Program is a concise and comprehensive walkthrough program that would provide HCPs with the knowledge on how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills and procedures in a wide-ranging number of emergencies. HCP’s will learn the fundamentals of Basic Life Support and build confidence to perform and provide appropriate medical assistance from working as a solo rescuer or cooperating with emergency response teams and applying BLS skills in prehospital or in-facility settings.
