Certified Nurse Assistant

Nurse assistants or aides have always played a crucial role in observing a patient’s physical, mental, and emotional status. Their duties include caregiving, taking patients’ vital health information, and collecting patient histories. Under the supervision of either a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), their skills are a necessity in nursing facilities.

With the rapid growth of America’s population, nurse assistants or aids have become more in-demand to keep up with the increasing health needs of the states.

NY Healthcare School Nurse Assistant Training program offers hands-on learning which focuses on producing skilled and reliable individuals through various and tailored instructional methods such as lectures, stimulated workplace or clinical setting, and an externship program.

Students will learn the basics of nursing, caring for the elderly and cognitive impaired, mental health, and as well as safety and emergency procedures. With the completion of this training program, students will benefit not only from the new marketable skills acquired but also from the essential communication and interpersonal skills gained through this program’s career-focused design.
